I purchased the Epomaker Split 70 when I was dealing with De Quervain’s tenosynovitis, a condition that made typing and using a mouse painful, especially during long workdays. Since my job requires me to spend hours in front of a computer, I started looking for ways to improve my workstation ergonomics and reduce strain on my hands and wrists.

The split design was the main reason I chose this keyboard. Unlike traditional keyboards that force your hands closer together, the Split 70 allows each half to be positioned naturally according to your shoulder width. This simple adjustment made a noticeable difference in my comfort level. My wrists felt less cramped, and I no longer had to angle them awkwardly inward while typing.

There was definitely a learning curve. Coming from a standard keyboard, it took me a few days to get accustomed to the layout and spacing. I initially made more typing errors than usual, but once my muscle memory adapted, typing became surprisingly comfortable and intuitive.

The build quality exceeded my expectations. The keyboard feels sturdy, the keys are satisfying to type on, and the wireless connectivity has been reliable throughout my daily use. Battery life has also been more than adequate for office work.

What I appreciate most is that the Split 70 encouraged me to maintain a more natural posture while typing. While it is not a treatment for De Quervain’s, it served as an effective ergonomic tool that helped reduce unnecessary strain on my wrists and thumbs. Combined with proper rest, stretching, and other ergonomic adjustments, it contributed to a more comfortable working experience.

The combination of the key switches and key tops are good, and all other qualities are also good. Separated keyboards are always challenging but the sipmle approach of this product is really appreciated. Key layouts are also good challenges, except one important defect impairs all other good aspects, which is the layout of number keys. If you are accustomed to blind touching, this would cause you significant irritation. Probably this reallocation is to intend the backspace key coming closer to the right ping, but just some milimeter adjustment and refined finish would have changed everyghing. I feel like, I missed the easy strike ball in my turn of the batter box at 3-2 count and two outs with the full based, and got an strike out. Really close!

A really messed up shipping situation, then after getting keyboard realize right hand side won't work wireless needs hardline to left. Then multiple letters per keypress.
Nothing about the purchase or usage was satisfactory.
