How Silent Works
Primary Noise Reduction
Small rubber dampening pads cushion the top and bottom contact points, absorbing the impact that normally creates a hard clack. Each keystroke stops cleanly and quietly, with less collision noise and a smoother, more composed typing feel.
No Click Mechanism
Silent switches remove the click jacket entirely, so actuation happens without the extra snap of a click mechanism. You still get a defined typing response, whether tactile or linear, but the sound stays softer, cleaner and far less distracting.
Reduced Impact
A controlled bottom-out softens the final moment of each press, reducing the sharp report that happens when the stem reaches the end of travel. You still feel the keystroke complete, but the landing sounds muted, rounded and more refined.
Mechanical Feel
Full travel, actuation force and switch response are preserved, so the typing feel stays precise and satisfying. The sound is reduced through smart switch design, not by flattening the experience into something dull like a membrane board.
