Impact: High
ABS or PC Keycaps
ABS keycaps ring brighter than PBT — lower density and thinner walls produce a higher-pitched, snappier top-out. Skip thick PBT and go ABS doubleshot or PC.
Sound-Tuned Series
A bright snap with vintage character.
That bright, vintage typewriter snap. The sound of a 1980s newsroom — sharp, confident, alive. If thocky is a drum, clacky is a tap dance.

How Clacky Works
Impact: High
ABS keycaps ring brighter than PBT — lower density and thinner walls produce a higher-pitched, snappier top-out. Skip thick PBT and go ABS doubleshot or PC.
Impact: High
Aluminum, brass, or polycarbonate plates resonate at higher frequencies. A stiff plate transfers more energy into the top-out impact — that articulate clack. Brass has a signature bright ring.
Impact: Medium–High
Top-mount and tray-mount builds keep the plate rigid against the case, preserving the high-frequency snap and vintage typewriter character.
Impact: Medium
Clacky builds use light plate foam (or none), letting the case interior reflect sound naturally. The result is a louder, more present typing experience.

All loudness values measured under ESS-2026 protocol at the typist's ear, average sustained typing at 60 WPM. Variance ±2 dB.
Sound & Typing Experience
Recorded in EPOMAKER Sound Lab with calibrated microphones. The same method we use to tune every product.

Clacky comes from ABS caps on a stiff plate with minimal foam, letting the top-out ring bright and articulate — no modifications needed.
