Anatomy

The five parts that shape sound.

A switch is five parts. Each one changes how it sounds, feels and ages — knowing which does what turns "I like this switch" into "I know why".

Stem

Material and shape decide the bump and the pitch. POM reads smooth, nylon reads warm, UHMWPE reads slick.

Key variablePole length

Spring

Sets the force curve. Single-stage feels even top to bottom; two-stage ramps up. Length changes the return.

Contact leaves

Where the signal happens. Tactile leaves create the bump; clicky adds a separate jacket that snaps.

Housing

Box housings hold the stem tighter, so less wobble and a brighter top-out. Traditional runs warmer.

Lube

Fills tolerances and removes scratch, which deepens the sound. Everything we ship is factory-lubed.

The smart way to decide

Feel them before you commit.

Force numbers and sound clips get you close, but your fingers decide. A sampler puts the four families in your hand for the price of a coffee.
