1800 Compact Keyboard with Premium PBT Keycaps
The Click Lab CL98 keyboard adopts the useful 1800-compact design to fit the demand for a numpad in the keyboard. The keyboard houses 98 keys, including all necessary function keys and arrows. Made by PBT, the keycaps are durable and oil-free. The Click Lab CL98 provides an ergonomic and comfortable typing experience even working on it for a long time.
Gasket Mount & Sound Dampening Foams
To reach a soft typing feeling, Click Lab CL98 is assembled in gasket mount without any screws on the plate. Apart from that, we also adopts leaf springs to ensure the consistency of re-bouncing to reduce vibration. By applying a complete silicon pad between the PCB and the plate, the keyboard shows higher performance in acoustic fields. With another foam between the PCB and the bottom case, the keyboard makes sure of a decent sound and presents a pleasing typing experience.
Type-C Wired & Upgradable Bluetooth/2.4GHz
The Click Lab CL98 supports type-C connection. It can also supports Bluetooth 5.1 or 2.4GHz for *wireless connectivity by installing an extra supportive upgrading module. The USB storage space for the dongle is designed to leave some space for upgrading. The keyboard is also easily switched among the three modes for efficient multitasking and speedy performance.
*Note: The keyboard originally comes in wired mode only. Please buy the wireless module with the keyboard if the wireless mode is needed.
Hot Swappable with Customized Switch
The keyboard comes with Cherry-like switches, both linear and tactile for different needs. The PCB is hot-swappable with 3-pin and 5-pin mechanical switches. You can always change the switches at will without soldering issues.
Easy Switch Between Mac/Win & Built-in RGB Lights
A switch is designed at the bottom for easy switch between Mac/Win system. It also features built-in RGB lights to be ready for rock the desktop. RGB light effects are classic and neat, and you can freely adjust the brightness and light speed. More than that, In music rhythm mode, the light can move with the music rhythm.

Hotswap sockets broke for a couple switches. The screws strip really easily when trying to take it apart to repair the Hotswap sockets. Hotswap functionality of this keybaord is really poor when compared to others within this price point. It’s unfortunate, I really was starting love this keyboard. I also cannot use its features since I did not receive a manual with it. Lack of quality control is a big problem with this keybaord

My keeb collection has been growing exponentially these last few months and to the detriment of my bank account, but the CL98 is by far my new favorite. The look and feel is just superb and the RGB is lovely. Popped a set of This is Plastic Keycaps (also available from Epomaker and in stock…just saying) and my setup is nice nice. A friend came over the other day and was trying to buy my CL98 right off my desk. Yeah no! Buy it! Keep it! Love it! Mod it! Might be your new endgame :)
The keyboard is nice and works well, however a huge problem that I have with the keyboard is that it does not have a user’s manual in English. It comes in Chinese, which makes understanding the lights or the Bluetooth on the keyboard hard to do. It would be fine if there was an online version of the manual, but there was none to be found. Outside of that huge issue, the stabilizers were a bit lacking as well. The reason why the keyboard gets 2 stars from me is because there currently is no way I can use the other functions of the keyboard, since I can’t read Chinese.
