Mini Display and Touch Screen for Enhanced Functionality

Building on the success of the RT100, which introduced a mini TV to the keyboard world, we proudly present the EPOMAKER RT80. The hallmark of the RT series is its detachable mini display that can show various data like date and time, battery status, keyboard battery levels, and even GIFs of your favorite anime characters. In addition to these features, the RT80 takes it a step further by adding a 1.54-inch touch screen in the bottom right corner, offering functions like volume control, print screen, and quick access to Windows settings. Below the touch screen are three media control keys for previous track, play/pause, and next track functions. All these elementsβ€”the touch screen, media keys, and mini displayβ€”are fully customizable through the EPOMAKER driver, providing unparalleled customization possibilities.


Innovative Non-Traditional 75% Layout

The RT80 features a unique 75% layout that goes beyond the standard design. In addition to the typical navigation keys, this keyboard includes a touch screen and three media control keys, all conveniently located in the bottom right corner. These additions offer expanded functionality while maintaining a compact design. The arrow keys are cleverly integrated into the main key area, creating a tight, space-saving configuration. Paired with the EPOMAKER driver, the RT80 provides extensive customization options, making it the perfect choice for those who want a compact yet powerful keyboard that doesn't sacrifice features for size.


Gasket Mount with Sound & Feel Improving Fillings

To deliver a satisfying typing experience, the RT80 includes five layers of sound and feel improving materials: Poron sandwich foam, IXPE switch pad, PCB foam, PET film, and case foam. Paired with the gasket mount structure, these materials help dampen vibrations, soften harsh bottom-outs, and reduce typing noise, resulting in a deeply satisfying typing experience. Finely tuned plate-mounted stabilizers further reduce unwanted rattling, ensuring every key press is consistent and enjoyable.


Tri-Mode Connectivity with 5000mAh Battery

The RT80 supports Bluetooth 5.0, 2.4GHz wireless, and Type-C wired connections, allowing for versatile usage across various scenarios. my latest obsession: the Epomaker RT80! This beauty has so many features I don't even know where to start! A detachable mini screen? Check. A 1.54-inch touchscreen? Absolutely. Gasket support for a smooth writing experience? That's right! With triple-mode connectivity (Bluetooth, 2.4 GHz and USB-C) and a robust 5000 mAh battery, this keyboard is ready to work and play. It feels and looks flimsy

I am a big fan of the 75% format, I'm even a fan of having a screen and **** on my keyboard. I've purchased multiple keyboards from Epomaker and so when I saw this model I thought to give it a shot.

I regret my purchase.

Generally I don't write reviews, but the issues here are so far reaching I need to share. Shipment alone, if you don't like in China, expect a long wait (for me it was a week an a half). They have no other stock outside China.

The keyboard itself, is plastic, all plastic. I prefer plastic simply for the weight and frankly prefer the feel and sound, but this is flimsy feeling and hollow. The keycaps that came with this (I purchased the white model with the flamingo switches) are very cheap feeling as well.

The flamingo switches, which I like and have used in the past, do not help the feeling and sound typing on this and no amount of personal modding (used a doubleshot PBT cherry profile set and different switches) makes typing on this feel better. Hollow, empty and underwhelming is the sound profile no matter what you use; liner, tactile, clacky, none of it matters.

The Screen: the touch screen is a nice feature, I am a big fan of screens on boards as it helps organize functions and potentially keybinds on the fly. Having direct support for things like music on the board is where I want to see more boards go.

This screen works, the touch screen responds and I haven't had much of a problem with it. But the nature of how flimsy this board feels I have little hope this touchscreen will last. The plugin display, I just do not like. It's more gimmick than functionality. I would have preferred they simply included a rotary **** and had that be a secondary option for the touch screen (or just not included a touchscreen, but kept the size).

My go to board has been the Ajazz ak820 pro for the last year and my hopes with this model was to find something akin to that board, but the rt80 is not it. The plastic frame is flimsy, the sound profile is hollow and while visually it looks impressive, that's about as much and as far this board gets.
