At EPOMAKER, we’ve always believed that the spark of creativity often begins with a single keystroke. This September, that spark came alive at Daydream Sydney 2025, a two-day global hackathon where over a hundred passionate young creators came together to code, design, and innovate. As an official sponsor, EPOMAKER was proud to support the event—helping empower the next generation of developers, designers, and makers through technology and collaboration.
A Global Movement of Young Innovators
Daydream Sydney is part of the worldwide Daydream Hackathon, an initiative under Hack Club, one of the largest global networks for young developers and creators. Hack Club connects over 80,000 members across 100+ countries—offering teens around the world the opportunity to learn, build, and “ship” projects that make a difference.
The Sydney chapter brought together talented students from all walks of life, transforming their ideas into playable games and functional projects in just 48 hours. From brainstorming to final demos, the event was filled with creativity, teamwork, and excitement.
Innovation, Collaboration, and Fun
Participants explored a variety of technical workshops—building platformer games with Godot, creating visual novels with Ren’Py, and even designing custom PCB hacker cards with EasyEDA. Each session sparked new ideas and helped attendees gain real-world STEM experience while collaborating in a fun, hands-on environment.
The theme of this year’s hackathon, “Sacrifices Must Be Made,” inspired some truly imaginative projects—like the standout title Puplicate Escape, a clever 2D platformer where players must guide adorable puppies through challenging puzzles. Every project embodied the spirit of innovation and resilience that Hack Club and EPOMAKER both champion.
The “Stars” System: Making Learning a Game
To keep the energy high, the organizers introduced an interactive "Stars" system-a digital currency participants earned by joining workshops and completing activities. These Stars could be redeemed for prizes including plush toys, 3D-printed gadgets, YubiKeys, and yes, EPOMAKER mechanical keyboards.
And when participants redeemed their Stars for an EPOMAKER keyboard, they weren’t just taking home a tool—they were embracing a creative philosophy. Each keystroke on an EPOMAKER board delivers precise feedback and dependable performance, reflecting the same spirit of craftsmanship and innovation that drives developers to build, iterate, and improve.
For every young creator who joined Daydream Sydney, their new keyboard became more than hardware—it became a canvas for ideas, a bridge between imagination and execution, and a companion built for efficiency and inspiration. That’s the essence of the EPOMAKER philosophy: to empower creators to dream boldly, type purposefully, and build fearlessly.
Why EPOMAKER Supports Daydream
At EPOMAKER, we believe keyboards are more than tools—they’re extensions of creativity. Whether you’re coding a game, writing a story, or designing a PCB, every click and keystroke counts. Supporting events like Daydream Sydney allows us to help young innovators build their dreams, one line of code at a time.
Seeing the next generation of creators bring their visions to life reminds us why we do what we do: to inspire creativity through design, technology, and community.
Dream. Build. Type.
We’re proud to stand with Hack Club and the Daydream Sydney team in empowering the future of creation. Because at EPOMAKER, we believe the best ideas often start right at your fingertips.
