I purchased this keyboard after extensive research online and via YouTube from keyboard enthusiasts and content creators. Iβve owned a Wooting 60HE and sold it too as then only the 60HE was available. It didnβt possess enough keys for my needs.
Once sold I then went on a search for another Halls Effect keyboard and stopped at the Epomaker Cidoo 75. Essentially itβs the same specs as Wooting 60HE but has more keys and better build quality. The differences between them lays in the software. Wooting now has the 80HE due in October but for me at least itβs double the cost delivered than the Cidoo 75. Even more compelling was I could buy the Cidoo 75 locally via online E platform Shopee in Thailand and paid no import duties or taxes.
After receiving and installing software and updating the keyboards firmware I could also program keys and trigger actuation to 0.1mm, the same as Wooting, including speed trigger.
The only thing I would say as a negative are south facing LEDs and solid keycaps. I need illuminating keycaps, otherwise I canβt type when thereβs no light. South facing LEDs and solid keycaps arenβt suitable for me. The LEDS are too bright but you still cannot see the letters if not in a light lit room.
To overcome this though, Iβve replaced all keycaps with illuminating ones and with better aesthetics more suitable to the actual keyboard. Thatβd be the biggest / only real negative of the Cidoo75.. The stock keycaps are rubbish and given how stylish the Cidoo75 is, the stock keycaps are a let down.
The keyboard weighs in at 1.93kg and heavy as a brick. It ainβt going nowhere on the desk.
If Epomaker changed keycaps to illuminating and a better theme itβd be a move in the right direction. Changing south facing LEDs to north would also be a bonus.
Great product and would highly recommend it.
