Epomaker Shadow-X
If I had to describe the EpoMaker X, I'd say it's like finding a decent taco truck: it wonโt be the best taco of your life, but for the price, it gets the job doneโand there's a little surprise thrown in, like maybe a secret salsa. Here, the salsa is a programmable LED screen. Yeah, thatโs right, this keyboard can show you cute pixel art while you clackety-clack through your day. Or, in my case, it can flash a pixelated middle finger when my boss sends me a "quick" request at 4:59 p.m. on a Friday.

That ****, thoughโฆ You see a **** in the top right corner and naturally, you think, Ah yes, volume control! Wrong. Itโs a mode-changing ****, which might be handyโif only you knew what modes they were! But hey, at least itโs a conversation starter. "Why do you keep changing modes on your keyboard?" "I don't know, Susan, maybe because I can."
- Delivery time:
Waiting for this keyboard was like waiting for a sequel to your favorite movie. The excitement slowly fades into confusion, then a little frustration, until one day, out of nowhere, it shows up. It's like, "Oh, right, I ordered thatโฆ last month." To be honest, I can't really complain about how long it took to ship half way around the globe. But it is a caveat that should be acknowledged.
Conclusion:
The EpoMaker X is the keyboard equivalent of a budget-friendly meal that leaves you mostly satisfied but still kind of wishing you'd splurged for dessert. With its swappable switches and quirky little screen, itโs got enough charm to make up for its spongy keys and mysterious ****โbut youโll need the patience of a saint while waiting for it to arrive!

First of all: the coloured keyboards have the Menu key spelled as Meun (not sure why). The keyboard has some issues connecting to MacOS via 2.4G (even tho the drivers are up to date).
