82 Keys 75% Compact Layout

EPOMAKER Skyline custom wired mechanical keyboard DIY kit is designed in a favored compact 75% layout by the community to maximize the function while not waste a minimum of space. This layout is widely used and loved by the community and Skyline will surely beyond your expectation with the hot swappable socket and programmable software, amazing RGB backlights.

Gasket-Mounted Structure

Gasket mounting is a type of keyboard mounting, where no screw holes are drilled into the switch plate. Instead, the switch plate is wedged in between the case layers and PCB through the support of rubber strips, or gaskets. Compared to a top mount system, a gasket-mounted keyboard has a cleaner sound profile because the gaskets cushion the shock of each keystroke. Gasket-mounted keyboards also give a softer typing experience, which helps avoid hand fatigue for those who type for long periods. On the other hand, top-mounted keyboards tend to be stiffer.

Hot Swappable PCB, Compatible with 3Pin/5Pin Switch

EPOMAKER Skyline Kit is equipped with hot swappable PCB to ensure free replacement or change of switches. You don’t need to solder it. It is compatible with most 3 pin and 5 pin mechanical switches, such as Cherry, Gateron, Otemu, Kailh and other MX switches and its clones.

Amazing RGB Backlight & Music Rhythm Mode

RGB backlight is always considered as one of the important elements for mechanical keyboards thus this DIY kit makes more than simple RGB backlight. It features a mesh structure at the bottom of the kit and side RGB lights design. The keyboard will be fully surrounded by amazing RGB effects.

Rotary Knob Control

A rotary knob control is there for easy access to volume. You are able to mute, turn up/down volume, control backlight brightness etc.. Easy, simple and elegant, EPOMAKER Skyline DIY Kit is such a functional mechanical keyboard kit for any one who is looking for something new and want to try customization.

It is the next time 75

There is no doubt about it is the next time, same box which says next time on it. Didn't even put the epomaker labels. No word of skyline any where. First impression it's pretty damn hollow. I'll update this after I build it

Good for the price

This was my first build and overall I'm happy with it. The sound is good (to my ears) despite very little modding. I added a little extra foam to what was already in the board and lubed the switches that I bought.

My biggest annoyance is that I can't download the software that Epomaker offers for this board. This board is a rebranding of the Next Time which is known for the software having a virus. When I attempted to download it, my browser immediately blocked it for being unsafe. So I'll just have to make do with the RGB color modes available on the board as is.

There's 18 modes available that you can cycle through. As far as I can tell, without the software, the music rhythm mode is not available. There is edge lighting and it does show faintly through the opaque yellow case.

It would be cool if Epomaker offered a manual for this board, but I included a picture of one that I found. Hope that helps anyone who purchases this board!

Aside from the software issue, this board is a decent choice for anyone working on a low budget.

Decent board for the price

Like someone mentioned in another review of this board, this is actually the Next Time 75 keyboard, just sold by Epomaker, it's a decent budget board if you want something that looks like the GMMK Pro for less.

So far the board is pretty good, not spectacular but for the price it's alright.
-The build quality feels alright, the top cover of the case is a bit flimsy since it's all plastic
-It has a nice layer of foam on the bottom
-The stabs are okay and come pre-lubed but I'll definitely replace them
-The PCB has both per key RGB and underglow, although the board covers the underglow if you didn't pick the transparent case
-I paired my board with lubed Purple Panda switches and taped the bottom of the PCB and the sound is actually pretty good.

Cons
-The software is awful, I could not download it on this website since windows detects it as a virus, I had to find it somewhere else and even then I had to turn off windows defender to install it. It's all in Chinese and even installed in Chinese even though I picked English (if you have this issue, the drop down menu in the option is the language option) The upside is you can save whatever preset you setup as the default one on the board itself so you don't need the software running after you setup your keys and RGB.
-The knob feels a bit cheap and doesn't register all the inputs if you turn it too fast
-There's no adjustable feet and the board is pretty flat, but that's a personal preference

Overall it's good for a first build or a budget build

Hmmmmmmmm

I'm pretty sure this is just the next time 75 renamed and sold by epomaker. It even has "next time" on the back of it. still a good board though.
