By the wireless option, either Bluetooth (up to 5.0) or 2.4GHz can be chosen, and the polling rate can be up to 1000hz with 2.4GHz. By the wired mode, macro can be programmed to better fit your typing habits. The modes can be easily switched by Fn+1/2/3(Bluetooth) / 4(2.4GHz) / 5(USB Wired).

Battery is garbage, other than that It's great.

I'm so sad that the battery doesn't last longer than an hour or so, because the rest of this keyboard is really great. I can squeeze out a little more life out of the battery if I turn all the LED's off, but not much. It wouldn't be such a big deal except for that I got this keyboard specifically because it is wireless. I'm going to see about returning/replacing it.

Wireless Mode Does Not Work - Customer Support Wants Me to Destroy it for a refund???

Update: Customer Support has stopped responding to me after I asked if they could send me a new one. Very unfortunate that this didnt work out. Will not be buying from Epomaker again.

TL/DR: Battery did not charge. Bluetooth and 2.4Ghz both do not work. Customer support either wanted me to crack it open to fix it myself, or film a video of me destroying the keyboard to issue me a refund???? Weirdest request I've ever had to get a refund.

    The email reads:
"After verifying that there is currently no existing stock of this product, we would like to apply for a destroy and refund option for you, you will need to provide us with a video showing that the keyboard has been destroyed as well as not functioning at all, and upon receipt of your video, we will process a refund for you."

Also....they clearly still have it in stock as it is still available on this site since I bought the Epomaker Budgerigar Switch version which you can still purchase.

I've had this keyboard for about a week. At first it was great, but it ran out of batteries for the first time and it does not charge up no matter how long I leave it plugged in. I even tries to directly plug it into an AC adapter so that I can be sure that it was doing nothing but charging. It works just fine wired though.

I contacted customer service about this, where the rep asked me to follow a video to crack it open and fix it myself. I replied that I wasnt comfortable with this, and then she told me to send her a video of me destroying the keyboard (to the point where it no longer works) in order to get a refund? So they sent me a faulty keyboard, then asked me to fix it myself, then told me to destroy it, even though it works as a wired keyboard. WHY? To ensure that I dont get any benefit out of this transaction? Why not take responsibility for the faulty keyboard?

BTW the battery issue seems to be very common given previous comments.

    The peculiarity is the compactness

I had the opportunity to try the EP84 in the retro version, sold at the beginning of the production of this model, and unfortunately no longer available for purchase. Beyond the color, the structure of the keyboard itself is of good quality: of course it is only plastic, but compared to many other competitors it is of a higher level. Of all the ones I have, I particularly like this one also for its very compact size, as it has no islands between the keycaps.

    Amazing I love this keyboard

This is my favorite keyboard I’ve ever had. I’ve just recently gotten into them and having a hot swappable keyboard premade and being able to make changes and everything. I love the way it arrived and love everything about it

Was great until it wasn't - battery died

This was my first mechanical keyboard and I honestly loved it for a little while. However, after less than a year of purchase and minimal usage (I ended up getting another keyboard with a 96% layout because I needed the numpad) the battery died on me where it no longer charges. This was supposed to be my "travel" keyboard but without the bluetooth and wireless connectivity, it defeats the purpose. I looked up on reddit and it seems like faulty batteries are a common issue with this model. Despite still being under "warranty", when I contacted epomaker they said the best they could do is take off 35% from the full price. Although I'm grateful that they compensated anything for the faulty keyboard, it seems like the warranty they provided should fully cover manufacturer defects, especially since it was still within the warranty timeframe. I'm a bit disappointed with epomaker and this keyboard despite its raving reviews, but unfortunately it is what it is.
