EPOMAKER HS84 keyboard comes with hot swappable terminal which means you can easily change out your mechanical switches for a different type without any soldering or effort. It is compatible with most 3 pin or 5 pin switches. This also extends the lifespan of the keyboard as you can easily switch out the components without throwing out the entire keyboard.
The keyboard casing is made out of frosted ABS material to nicely let the RGB light effects illuminate the entire case without being too heavy. RGB effect are beyond your expectations with the included software and default effects. Foldable kickstand provides different height for better typing or gaming experience.
EPOMAKER HS84 houses 84-key which is one of the most sought after in the world of mechanical keyboards. Why? It houses a full set numbers, function keys, and arrows—all packed into a form factor that wastes not a smidge of space.
This keyboard also features doubleshot ABS keycaps which means that the legends are made with a second piece of plastic that prevents errosion and fading, so they are likely to last longer. The legends are also shine-through, easier for typing or gaming in the night. No worries of trouble with recognize keys.
Coming with a custom software for future customization, you are ensured to edit the macros with this keyboard. Make it more personal and meantime for the fastest typists, it’s N-key rollover too. This means that no matter how fast you type, your keyboard will register each press.
Keep in mind that these are the opinions of a mech noob. Aesthetically, really love the look of the keyboard, and the RGB modes are great. Trying to get my head around the many customization options given in the manual for both backlighting the keys AND in the translucent frame. I'm using this on a Mac with Karabiner-Elements and it works great for my purposes. I wanted the Fn keys for Photoshop macros I use often, and it'll be interesting to see how much further I can customize it.
The keys feel great under my fingers, and I'm liking the Gateron yellows (these are my first linear switches). Nice and thocky. I think I'm missing some of the tactile feedback from my last keyboard (cheapo clicky blues) but I definitely am not missing the noise. The angle of the keyboard with the feet up is pretty good for me, though I'm used to a few degrees higher. The keyboard itself feels heavy, very solid, not cheap in the least, and the nonslip pads underneath mean it doesn't budge as I use it.
